About this work
Reception of the Princess of Orange as Queen of England in Margate, 22 February 1689. Off the coast, the English ships with which the princess made the crossing fire salutes. On land, she and her court are welcomed by representatives of the local authorities. On the right, the inn of Margate. Plate 9 in a series of 20 plates on the Glorious Revolution in England in the years 1688-1691.
