About this work

Plan of the fortifications around the city of Namur, captured by the French army on June 30, 1692. Part of the first volume (1693) of the print work comprising the eight volumes of *Les forces de l'Europe*, published between 1693–1697. The work consists of 175 plates with plans (by Sébastien Le Prestre, Seigneur de Vauban) of famous fortified cities and strongholds during the Nine Years' War. Title and inscriptions in French.
