About this work
The Roman Wheel of Fortune, 1705. Theodorus de Cock lying on the ground sees above him a wheel of fortune with Petrus Codde, the Jesuit, the Pope, the Jansenist and others. Below the verse mention is made of the death of the vicar Gerardus Potcamp in Leiden on December 16, 1705. Sheet no. 10 in the series of 13 sheets with caricatures on the Jesuits titled Roma Pertubata, 1707. Part of the print work published under the collective title 't Lust-Hof van Momus with the bound series of caricatures during the years 1701-1713 of the War of the Spanish Succession.
