About this work

Allegory on the Peace of Utrecht, concluded on 11 April 1713. Central an allegory on the restoration of trade and prosperity with the end of the war. Around it smaller scenes of Utrecht, the peace negotiations held there, the swearing in of the peace treaty, the proclamation of the peace in London on 5 May and the fireworks on 7 June in the Thames.
