Allegory on the Peace of Aachen concluded on 18 October 1748 between the Allies (Republic, England, and Austria) on one side and France, Prussia, and Spain on the other. On the left, a portrait of the stadtholder is held high by Mercury and angels, before History and Time. In the sky, various emblems and the arms of the Republic and of William IV.
