About this work

The sleigh ride on January 24, 1776, organized by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Relief of Leiden (October 3, 1574) and the founding of the University of Leiden (February 8, 1575). The fourteen sleds in three rows, numbered 1-3, with indications of the subject of the sled. Stands with the owl at Minerva.
