About this work

Naval battle off Cadiz between two Dutch frigates *Castor* and *Den Briel* and two English frigates *Flora* and *Crescent*, 30 May 1781. The English ship *Crescent* hopelessly shot by the Dutch frigate *Briel* under the command of Gerardus Oosthuys, with the two other ships in the background. Trial proof with the heavy rain shower.
