About this work
The stopping of the Austrian imperial brig Louis by the Dutch schooner Dolphijn under the command of Lieutenant Tobias Tak Cuperus on the Scheldt near Fort Lillo, 8 October 1784. The Dutch ship fires a warning shot. The incidents of this day are referred to by the nickname the Cauldron War. The print is accompanied by a pendant.
