Satire on the departure of the former King William I to Prussia after his abdication on 7 October 1840. At the border William bids farewell to his fatherland while Countess Henriëtte d'Oultremont de Wégimont leads him across the border to Prussia. In the background the carriage waits. With a two-line caption in French.
