Capture of the Dutch war fleet in Den Helder by hussars of the French cavalry under General Pichegru, 24 January 1795. Several warships frozen in the ice in the harbor. With a large group of riders on the ice, women and children on skates in the left foreground, packages and barrels of merchandise on the right.
