About this work

The Alliance Festival on the Dam in front of the Town Hall in Amsterdam, to celebrate the alliance concluded between the French and the Batavian Republic, 19 June 1795. Chaotic festival bustle, in the center the liberty tree. In the caption the three oval medallions with allegorical representations that hung on the facade of the town hall.
