About this work

The Alliance concluded between the French and the Batavian Republic on 16 May 1795 and the Imminent Unity and Indivisibility of the Batavian Commonwealth. Two allegorical decorations on the facade of the Town Hall on the Dam in Amsterdam for the Alliance Festival on 19 June 1795. Part of a series of ten plates.
