About this work
Allegorical memorial for Willem George Frederik, Prince of Orange-Nassau, died in Padua, 6 January 1799. Monument with urn overshadowed by a weeping willow, putti with extinguished torch, helmet, and portrait. On the pedestal a six-line poem. On the ground in front of the monument a suit of armor and flags, in the background a cavalry battle.
