About this work
Death of General Georg Wilhelm Bussche, 11 December 1794 (should be 7 November). The German general in the service of the British troops in battle with the French troops on the bank of the Waal during the capture of Nijmegen. The general's right hand is shot off by a French cannonball, to which he succumbs. The body of the general is carried away by his sons and others. The print is accompanied by a separate key to the representation.
