View from the Nieuwsteegbrug of the devastated area after the gunpowder explosion on the Steenschuur, a canal extending from the Rapenburg, in Leiden, on 12 January 1807. Cleanup operations after the disaster, carrying away victims. The Saaihal is centrally located. See also the pendant.
