About this work
Camp of Cossacks, in the countryside among trees, during their stay in the Netherlands in November 1813. Around a fire, over which a large cauldron hangs for cooking, a crowd of Cossacks is encamped. On the left a laden horse; on the right in the background a Cossack kisses a girl.
