About this work

Satirical print on the flight of the French customs officials, with their obstruction of tobacco sales, from the Netherlands after the fall of the French, 1813. To the right on the quay, a group of Dutchmen enjoy tobacco imported from America. Centrally, two Cossacks on horsestorm down on the group of French customs officials fleeing in a ship with their regie tobacco; to the left, advancing Dutch soldiers.
