About this work
Satirical print on Napoleon of 1813 where his face is built up from the corpses of his victims, his hat is the Prussian eagle, his epaulet is a grasping hand whose fingers are his enemies and the wrist the All-Seeing Eye. The collar is a river of blood, his coat the battlefield of Europe, and the order of the Legion of Honour on his chest is a spiderweb. The print includes a separate explanation.
