About this work

Exhibition of satirical prints on the failed celebration of the 450th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sacrament in Brussels, 16-30 July 1820. In a hall, the satirical prints hang on a wall; in the background, the failed fireworks display. The visitors to the exhibition are all dogs. Also refers to the five-yearly exhibition held in Ghent from 1-24 August 1820 and the first National Industry Exhibition in Ghent in 1820.
