About this work
King William I thanks his fellow countrymen at the opening of the Chambers on 16 October 1826 for the help provided to the victims of the flood. The King sits on his throne. On either side of him sit his sons, the Crown Prince and Prince Frederik. With a two-line caption. Part of the series of 24 plates with encounters with King William I, published under the title 'Les rencontres' in 1829-1830.
