About this work

Carnival print of the Amsterdam night watch (ratelwacht), 10 September 1849. Between leaves and vines images of: the Variété aan de Nes, the French Theatre, the Dutch Theatre, the Old Salon de Variété in the Amstelstraat, the French Variétés and the High German Theatre. With a poem in three parts. On behalf of the night watch in quarter No. 8 of the 4th section: H.C. Wittpen, J.C. Escherig and J. Swen.
