Medal in honor of Jan van Speyk. On the obverse the Dutch Maiden with a extinguished torch mourning at a tombstone depicting the cannon boat of Jan van Speyk jumping into the air on the Scheldt near Antwerp on 5 February 1831. On the reverse text within a myrtle wreath.
