Victory in the battle of Boutersem, 12 August 1831. In the center standing on the ground the Prince of Orange who exchanges his horse, whose leg has been shot off, for another horse offered to him by Major Hoyel. Behind the prince his brother Frederick and his staff on horseback. To the left a cannon, in the foreground and to the right dead and wounded.
