About this work

A knight in armor on horseback, preceded by a group of foot soldiers and followed by two riders. Sheet numbered XVII in the series of eighteen plates depicting the historical costumed procession representing the reception of Count Willem II of Holland in Utrecht in 1249. The procession held by the students of the University of Utrecht on 2 June 1841 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the restoration of the University.
