About this work

View of the lighthouse J.C.J. van Speijk at Egmond aan Zee. The existing original lighthouse, named Noordertoren, was converted into a monument in 1834 according to the design of J.D. Zocher; the monumental entrance with a lion at the foot was completed in 1841.
