About this work
The Prince of Orange on horseback leads the Dutch troops during the battle of Quatre-Bras, 16 June 1815. In the center, the prince on horseback surrounded by his staff. To the right, the Dutch infantry fires on the advancing French cuirassiers. In the foreground, wounded soldiers on the ground. To the left in the background, the mortally wounded Frederick William, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Oels, is carried from the battlefield. See also the pendant.
