Historical costumed parade by the students of Leiden University on February 8, 1845, celebrating the 270th anniversary of the university. The subject of the historical parade and masquerade is the parade of Count Floris V with the Knights of St. James in The Hague in 1279. On the left and right two columns with medieval decorations, at the top Minerva flies through the air. At the bottom a chain with the insignia of the Order of St. James.
