About this work
Satirical print on Johannes Augustus Keurenaer, director of the Royal Academy for the training of Civil Engineers and East Indian officials in Delft, October-November 1861. The director is depicted as a small boy next to a collapsed house of cards 'Vlas Fabrijk' which now wants to play with Minerva. On his head he wears a paper hat with the inscription 'Royal Decree 1842'. With a three-line caption.
