About this work

Commemorative plaque for the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the restoration of the independence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 1863. Centrally, the arrival of the Prince of Orange at Scheveningen in 1813. At the top, portraits of the three kings William I, II and III, Van Hogendorp, Van Limburg Stirum and Van der Duyn van Maasdam. Left and right vignettes of 'Commerce and Navigation' and of 'Agriculture and Industry'. These representations in a golden frame with a twelve-line inscription in red.
