Satire on the unification of Italy. Three men (Victor Emmanuel II, Garibaldi, and Napoleon III) sleeping peacefully in one bed; their boots stand before the bed. See also the sequel in plate no. 35. Plate published in the weekly De Nederlandsche Spectator, no. 34, 23 August 1862.
