About this work
Satirical print on the protectionists (Regout et al.) who sought to take control of the upcoming November festivities surrounding the fiftieth anniversary of the restoration of freedom in the Netherlands. A group of men don masks and disguise themselves. Plate published in the weekly De Nederlandsche Spectator, no. 8, 21 February 1863.
