About this work
Cartoon on the threatened change in the land tax of the province of Limburg. The provincial maiden of Limburg finds a Sinterklaas gift with the inscription 'land tax' when rising from the chimney. Plate published in the weekly De Nederlandsche Spectator, no. 49, 9 December 1865.
