Allegory on the marriage of William V and Wilhelmina of Prussia in 1767 and the birth of Prince William Frederick on 24 August 1772. Two scenes: at the top an allegory in which the princess, standing on a pedestal, is handed the sealed book of marital happiness by Wisdom (Minerva), accompanied by Virtue and the city maiden of The Hague. The princess is crowned by Piety. In a smaller scene below, seven half-naked women, provincial maidens(?), dance before Prince William V on the occasion of the birth of Prince William Frederick. On the sheet below the print, an inscription to the magistrates of The Hague in a fourteen-line verse.
