Satirical print on the rejection of the budget for the Dutch East Indies by the First Chamber. A housekeeper (the First Chamber) punishes a boy (De Waal) because she cannot reach the actual culprit (Mijer) who is sitting on top of a cupboard and sticking out his tongue. On the right, the Dutch Maiden. Plate published in the weekly De Nederlandsche Spectator, no. 46, 1870.
