About this work

Christ stands in the colonnade of Solomon in the temple and is in conversation with some Jewish men. In the foreground Pharisees and a man picking up a stone to throw at Christ. On the right in the background a shepherd with his sheep as a reference to Christ's statement that his sheep listen to his voice and follow him. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in John 10.
