About this work

The shepherd Aminta was to offer his beloved Lucrina to the goddess Diana. Instead of Lucrina, he offers himself and stabs a knife into his chest. Print from a series of 12 prints illustrating the play Il pastor fido, 2nd scene from the 1st act.
