About this work

Saint Catherine kneels on the ground. An executioner draws his sword to behead her. Behind him stand two other men, wearing turbans. In front of Catherine sit three angelic beings with a large cloth ready to catch her head. In the background two castles and the wheel that was destroyed by a lightning bolt, before Catherine could be tortured upon it.
