About this work
Amidst the clouds, god figures are dining at a long table. At the head, in the foreground, sit Jupiter and Juno, recognizable by the eagle with lightning bolts and the peacock respectively. On the right in the background, Eris, the goddess of strife, offers the golden apple to the guests. Six lines of Latin text below the depiction.
