About this work

Tympanum of Egmond: arch drum with Peter, Count Dirk VI of Holland and his mother Countess Petronella. The whole surrounded by Latin inscriptions. The stone comes from the former Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter and St. Adelbert in Egmond-Binnen. Under the stone some old letters. FM places the depictions of this stone in the year 1009, in reality the stone was made ca. 1120.
