About this work

Muradbakhsh depicted to the waist, turned to the left, with his right hand on his sword and his left hand on the kattar tucked into his belt. Leaf 7 in the 'Witsen Album', containing 49 Indian miniatures of rulers. A piece of paper with the name in Persian is pasted above the portrait. Below the portrait, a piece of paper bears the name in Portuguese.
