About this work
From Blauwstrand and Table Bay one looks out at Table Mountain and the Leeuwenberg. In Table Bay lie several ships of the United East India Company with the Dutch tricolour. In the background the Fort of Van Riebeeck and the settlement are depicted. This means that the drawing was made at least after 1654, possibly after a 17th or 18th-century painting.
