About this work

Design for a triumphal arch, probably for a triumphal arch in Vlissingen to celebrate 200 years of freedom in Vlissingen, 6 April 1772. Centrally an altar with a flame and the inscription Auriaco, in the niches and on the pediment statues of allegorical figures. At the top the coat of arms and the name of stadtholder Willem V.
