About this work
The twelfth sleigh in the procession. A sleigh with a man carrying a banner, drawn by a horse, preceded by a man with a burning torch. Part of a series of fifteen drawings for the plates of the sleigh procession on 24 January 1776 organized by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Liberation of Leiden (3 October 1574) and the founding of the University of Leiden (8 February 1575). This drawing was not printed.
