About this work
Ladies drinking tea in an interior, a maid on the left, a messenger on the right. The scene may perhaps be considered a design for a room screen. On the verso of the drawing an extensive handwritten note by Tiedeman in which a description of the figures in niches in the background of the scene. Possibly a design for a room screen.
