About this work

Drawing of the English warship Prince, seen from the port side, with a couple of ship's boats, including possibly a barge. The Prince, a First Rate warship was equipped with one hundred cannons and was built in 1670. During a renovation in 1692 the ship was renamed the Royal William. By Muller ('De Nederlandsche geschiedenis in platen') erroneously described as an image of the Royal Charles, the ship captured by the Dutch during the voyage to Chatham in 1667.
