According to the accompanying text (p. 32): Cornflower blue velvet quilted douillette (cloak) with a collar standing up diagonally at the top, sleeves "à l'Espagnolle", with silk between the stripes. Closed at the waist with a belt of the same fabric; at the back ends a 'chou' in the shape of five laurel leaves. Bordered at the bottom with wide lace edging. Hat of the same fabric as the cloak, decorated with bows and a silk ribbon with seven 'doffen' at the back. Bodice of embroidered net fabric. Print from the fashion magazine *Elegantia, or magazine of fashion, luxury, and taste for ladies* 1807-1814 (interrupted by the period 1811-1813).
