About this work

Bird study: Male ostrich (Struthio camelus) with scale division in Rhenish units; found in many places at the Cape. Gordon first mentions it in Nov. 1777(?), in Jan. 1778, and in Aug. and Sept. 1779 (see Cullinan; Raper & Boucher).
