About this work
Leaf with 24 depictions from the life of Saar Jansz. In the first scenes she works as a kitchen maid, but is dismissed because she uses too much of the expensive turf for cooking. Afterwards she becomes a soldier. Below each image a two-line verse. Numbered top right: No. 12.
