About this work
Girolamo Muziano excelled in drawing landscapes, earning him the nickname ‘il giovane de’ paesi’ (the young man of the landscapes). Characteristic of his draftmanship is the way in which he depicted rocky outcrops with flowing lines and crosshatching.
