About this work
A woman on a gallery of a palace is making her toilet while her maid holds up a mirror and a second maid stands beside her. The image is framed by a thin decorative border of floral vines on gold and dark blue filigree motifs, surrounded by a wide decorative border of dark blue speckled with gold and thin frame lines of red and gold.
